Roman Mosaic Remains

The hill on which we are standing had already been considered a privileged place by the Romans, which is why they built here the city of Aeminium that originated Coimbra. The archaeological heritage, which is known to exist, is slowly being revealed. This mosaic here is proof of that. It was found in recent excavations and it seems to have belonged to a Roman domus, the name given to the private residences of that time, some of them very luxurious.
