UCTour is the university's booking platform for professionals: advance bookings, team permissions so your whole office can manage reservations, and real-time availability — which matters here, because the Joanina Library admits limited numbers per timed slot and popular dates fill early. If you sell Coimbra, UCTour is where your allocation lives.

Terms and Conditions for Guides

Guides conducting groups inside the university's heritage spaces must be accredited. The process is straightforward:

  1. Register on UCTour with your professional details.
  2. Submit your credentials (guide licence and supporting documents) through the platform.
  3. Receive confirmation from the tourism office — you're ready to lead groups.

Services for Tourism and Information Professionals

Visits are available to promote the University of Coimbra to information professionals and tour operators. To request one, write to turismo@uc.pt.

  • FAM trips for operators: experience the circuits you'll be selling, timed slots and all.
  • FAM press for media: facilitated visits and interviews for journalists and content producers.

Programmes for professionals

  • Premium Programme: tailor-made programmes built around your clients — private timings, special access, expert speakers.
  • UC Groups: private visits for groups, scheduled around the academic calendar.

The two workhorse products are the Joanina Library + University + Science Museum combined ticket and the University + Science Museum ticket for itineraries that can't accommodate the Joanina's timed entry.
